against a wide spectrum of bacteria, fungi and other micro organisms. It has silver and other
ions with antimicrobial power bonded into its mineral structure and stabilized. They are seldom
eluted out with water or solvent, so the antimicrobial effect can last a long time. Its life span
and thermal stability – up to temperatures of 800°C – makes it an important composition
material in products used in clean environments.
Sterile environments such as medical labs, cosmetic and pharmaceutical processing plants,
clean rooms where labelling is required benefit from the protection of the anti-microbial
material, which helps stop the spread of dangerous bacteria and thus allows hospitals to
effectively minimise cases of hospital-acquired infections.
Competitive Printer Language Compatibility
Multiple printer language options enables replacement of competitive printer models with
minimal reprogramming of data streams.
Compact HF RFID Printing Solution
CG2 is built to typically fulfil the need for a desktop HF RFID printing solution that does not
occupy a lot of counter space and is suited for applications that require or can accept shorter
read range. Typical applications include: access control and patron management; product
authentication, especially item tracking; counterfeiting and part tracking.
Customers will decide on their choice of RFID technologies based on several factors,
including size of tag, RF interference, antenna size, data protocol, RF output power and other
environmental conditions such as temperature or humidity. HF, because it allows for more
defined read zones, has been demonstrated to offer significant advantages for applications
that require 100% accurate tracking of cases and items. The CG2 Compact HF RFID printing
solution can be used to individually tag items, which in close proximity to one another must be
accurately readable when needed to be read.
RFID Wristband Printing
The use RFID offers advantages over barcode-based systems because it does not require
line of sight. In healthcare facilities, RFID wristbands used for patient identification and
medication administration offer demonstrable ROI in terms of cost and labor time savings, as
well as improve overall patient safety. RFID wristbands can also be used to identify newborns
for enhanced security. Mother-Infant wristbands with correlated data are printed to provide
positive patient identification for newborns and their family members.
CG2 supports the widest range of 13.56 MHz HF RFID tags, including ISO 15693 RFID Tags
from Texas Instruments Tag-It, Philips I-CODE and Infineon My-d.
Large Printer Memory
The CG2 Printer has a large memory of 4MB Flash ROM and 8 MB RAM that allow the
storage of extra graphics or fonts and firmware upgrades. This makes it suitable for
application that requires printing larger graphic images.
