A type of Random Access

Memory chip that does not lose its

contents when power it is

receiving is turned off; it,

therefore, allows permanent

storage.

With 4MB of Flash Memory, this

allows additional font and

graphics capability and firmware

upgrades without the need for

modifications to the printer or

electronics.
